The Impact Assessment of Climate Change on Building Energy Consumption in Poland

A substantial share of the building sector in global energy demand has attracted scholars to focus on efficiency sector. The building’s consumption been projected increase due mass urbanization, high living comfort standards, and, more importantly, climate change. While change potential impacts rate buildings, several studies have shown that these differ from one region another. In response, this paper aimed investigate impact heating and cooling demands buildings as influential variables city Poznan, Poland. sense, through statistical downscaling method considering most recent Typical Meteorological Year (2004–2018) baseline, future weather data for 2050 2080 Poznan were produced according HadCM3 A2 GHG scenario. These generated files then used simulate 16 prototypes ASHRAE 90.1 standard. results indicate an average load a decrease at 135% 40%, respectively, by 2080. Due higher load, total thermal decreased within study period. Therefore, while is currently under decrease, avoid its rise future, serious measures should be taken control increased consequently, emissions.
